Looking for a nanny this summer?

This may be quite a stretch, but I'm new to the Lakeview area (BF got a job here after graduating last May), and I will be spending my first summer in the city. I am currently studying Psychology and Communicative disorders in undergrad, and I work as a part-time assistant Preschool Teacher and babysit for a few families I met through the school.

I was hoping to find a nanny job for the summer. Are you, or any families you know, looking? I would be happy to provide references, set up a coffee date to meet, etc. PM me if you are interested.

Re: Looking for a nanny this summer?

  • Also, I should add -- I am certified in pediatric first aid and would be willing to provide a recent background check (they run them for the preschool). I am not certified in CPR, but would be willing to take a course in this.

     Ok, done. :)

  • Hi! I work as part-time nanny in the Chicago area, and I found (almost) all my families off of the website Sittercity.com. It's AMAZING. It's free for you to use as a sitter (unless you pay $10 for a background check- worth it!), and you can search for local jobs and parents can find you. In my opinion, it'd be totally worth it to get on the site- it's been a huge blessing for me to find some gigs! I love every single one of my families. They've all been amazing :)
