mulled cider

i had a holiday party over the weekend for about 30 people. the mulled apple cider was pretty much inhaled.

so i thought i'd share

into a crockpot went:  

1 gallon of apple cider

2 small oranges sliced thin.

a cheesecloth filled with: nutmeg, allspice, cloves, and Cinnamon sticks. 

 next to the crock was a few bottles of spirits. the crown royal and captain Morgans rum was pretty popular for those who wanted to spike it.

We did this for our housewarming party last week, almost to the letter. Thanks for sharing! I wanted to add some other goodies we set out for adding were cinnamon schnapps, butterscotch schnapps, Grand Marnier and bourbon. People had a lot of fun coming up with tasty "recipes."

Walmart sells it with the cooking utensils.  I just use a coffee filter and tie it with butchers twine.
