Hi! My family participates in a Trader Joe or Yankee Swap game for Christmas. This is only our 2nd year doing it and I need some help with figuring out what to give! We have a $30 limit and the people who participate are men and women of various ages (from 25 to 56). Does anyone have any ideas they wouldn't mind sharing?! I would really appreciate it! Thanks in advance

Re: Trader Joe/Yankee Swap
Lotto tix are always big at our Yankee Swap.
This year I got a Snuggie. I can't wait to see people fight over it - because as much as most people will scoff at it initially, it will definitely get used!

Lotto tickets and beer/wine are usually the way to go with my family too! I totally agree with you on the Snuggie, maybe I'll check into that!

ok - so I love this party idea- haven't participated in one since college and totally forget the rules - i've read many variations online but how do YOU play and what rules have been the most fun to play by???
totally planning a party for next year!
We first draw numbers and the person who draws #1 is usally the best number. #'s 1 through 10 (for example) pick a gift from the pile or steal, we only allow 2 steals per turn and after #10 goes, #1 can either do nothing or steal, if they steal, whoever they steal from can steal but then thats the end of the game. The more people the better the game!
