Dear Community,

Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

If you have questions about this, please email help@theknot.com.

Thank you.

Note: This only affects The Nest's community members and will not affect members on The Bump or The Knot.

Let the time wasting begin!

I'm required to work 4 days this week...32 hours.  My students are allowed to continue working pretty much 24/7, and the expectation is that I, as a teacher, will be available to help them if/when they need it.  But if last year is any indication of how things normally work...when a teenager's local school is on break, he/she is not normally motivated to work on the online course.  So far today, I've put in just over 3 hours of work.  I've responded to every email and message that I received over the weekend (most of which were from my coworkers), and I've graded most of the work that came in late last week and over the weekend.  With the 5 hours of work-time I have left today, I am down to 7 assignments that need to be graded...2 essays, and 5 quizzes.

So...most of this week, I'll just need to be on or near my computer, and keep my time running...but I have a feeling I'm going to have almost nothing to do.  While I guess I shouldn't complain that I'm being paid to do nothing, I really wish the company would just give us extra days off!!
