This game just keeps getting more and more interesting. We're obviously getting a lot of coverage here in Chicago -- I wonder how much you girls are hearing about this Bears/Vikings game.
Some points of interest
- The playing surface. I've learned so much about NFL playing surfaces this week! Several players on both teams have gone on record with their safety concerns playing on this field. TCF Stadium is a turf field without modern-day heating coils. Right now, there's a tarp covering the field with heat blowers warming the surface. Those tarps will be removed 90 minutes prior to game time. It's 22 degrees in Minnesota and has been snowing since 10:00 A.M. Concern is that the field will freeze, pretty much making the surface as hard as concrete. Vikings punter Kluwe said guys would get concussed just falling on the surface. We'll see what happens on that front....
- O.M.G. At around noon today, Favre went from being "out" to being "questionable." Are you effing kidding me?! He's supposed to throw about 2 hours prior to the game to see if he feels okay. If he does, he'll likely start. Early word out of the Bears camp is that most guys are preparing as if Favre is going to be the starter. Seriously. Such a drama queen.

Not that I'm concerned at a Bears fan. We picked him apart layer by layer earlier this year. Bring it.

I'm really hoping that Minnesota can find it in them to give Philly a run for it in week 16. Maybe I'm a little biased because a PHI loss is one of MANY things that has to happen for us to have a first week bye... Do we think Adrian Peterson will be active??

Oh geez... Shows just how interested I was in the game. I watched a lot of the pregame chatter -- went back and forth between the local coverage and ESPN. There did not seem to be one there. Then the game started... and started to really stink. I must have tuned out more than I thought I realized. I found a time lapse in an online search.
I'm SO using that line next time my husband raves about his Favre. PUKE.
