Do you put all gift baskets in cellophane bags/wrap?

I'm horrible at using cellophane. It never looks right and my baskets just end up looking horrible. Would gift baskets look stupid in a gift bag without the cellophane? tia!

Re: Do you put all gift baskets in cellophane bags/wrap?

  • Yes, I prefer to. I like the bags that you just stick it in and put a bow rather than the ones you need to blow dry.

  • I can't stand the cellophane. It makes the basket so hard to get into.

  • No, I don't think your gift basket would look stupid at all w/o the cellophane. I never use it.

I bought one of these today at Michael's. I'm going to give it one more try. I tried the ones that you need to blow dry last week and my basket looked awful. Thanks.

  • I only ever use the ones you blow dry!!  You have to start at the bottom and work your way up.  My baskets always come out well and I am the least crafty person I know!

  • I always use a roll of cellophane and tie it at the top with a ribbon, and it doesn't look too bad. I can't be bothered with the stuff you have to blow dry. But I don't think it would look bad at all without the plastic wrap, no gift bag required.
  • Last year I made up small baskets with items from Bath and Body works in them and didn't wrap them and they were adorable. When I make larger baskets or make one for a chinese auction or something I prefer to use the blow dry ones. I like the way they look better than just regular bags.
