Wild Dunes/Isle of Palms recs?

We decided to do a last minute weekend next weekend & booked a 1 br suite at the Village at Wild Dunes (their newest accommodations I think?). We have never been to Isle of Palms, any recs for things to do/see/eat (most important- eat! :) ). We might bring our bikes, not sure yet.

Is it similar in feel to Kiawah? Is there a grocery store on the island where we can grab some breakfast/lunch/snack stuff before we check in or should we go somewhere before we get there?

Thanks so much!

Re: Wild Dunes/Isle of Palms recs?

  • There are a few new places at the resort you can purchase that type of stuff. They are located by the check in. Everything is brand new too. I used to do hair in the new salon there. I was only working there part time, as an on-call stylist. I loved every minute of it. The place is beautiful. If you're staying in the newest accommodations, you will love it! You can stay anywhere there and you should be pleased.

We always sent everyone to The Boat House on IOP. If you like Italian, try Cappricio's (sp?) in Mt. Pleasant. There are so many great places to try, plus they have great food at WD, too.
