Christmas is almost here! How is everyone? Is your shopping done? Wrapping done? Baking done? What did you bake, if you did?

Re: How is Everyone?
My shopping is done, wrapping is done too. I need to make my Red Velvet Cake Balls for friends at work and Thursday I need to make Eggnog Cupcakes for Christmas.
Jenn, ask your boss for those days off! lol

I'm good, though it doesn't seem like Christmas at all this year! I've run into sooo many crabby people w/poor attitudes. Anyway, no, my shopping isn't done...just have to finish up the hubby's stocking stuffers. Everything else we sent back home. Since it's only the 2 of us this yr & I have to work Christmas day, I'm not gonna do much baking. Def have to make p-nut butter blossoms though...love those! Not sure what else I'm gonna do.
Vanessa, those eggnog cupcakes sound diff. Would you mind posting the recipe??
It's true, there are some crabby people out there. I had a bunch at my table for our work Christmas party. Anyways, here is the recipe, Eggnog Cupcakes enjoy.

shopping not done, baking not started, wrapping not started. but that's normal for me!
tomorrow or thursday i'll be baking peanut butter blossoms, pumpkin choc chip cookies, choc covered cookie dough balls, and rolled sugar cookies. we haven't bothered wrapping dominic's presents yet because he'll tear them up if we put them under the tree anyway
Hello ladies!
I can't believe it's the week of Christmas! I'm pretty much done with shopping. I'm thinking of getting DH more stocking stuffer items. Since that's all I get to shop for him for. He decided he HAD to redo one of his guitars, so it's his Christmas, anniversary & possibly birthday gift.
I'm off tomorrow, and plan on doing some baking. No, really! I AM going to make PW's cinnamon rolls. For reals this time! And possibly some fudge, but that's about it.
My parents get here Thursday afternoon. I'm super excited for that. I haven't seen my Dad for a year & a half! Way too long!
I thought I was almost done shopping until I put a list together last night and realized just how much I still need to get! lol
I'm kind of annoyed because I JUST found out that instead of our normal steal-a-present game that we play with my stepdad's family (played like white elephant, but instead of finding stuff around your house, you bring a gift valued around $25 and play that way. Way too expensive to buy gifts for everyone, and ideally, everyone gets something this way). However, apparently this year we are doing a traditional white elephant game? I'm not really a fan of those, but whatever. Not a big deal. I am annoyed because I already bought two gifts for steal-a-present, and I'm just finding out this morning about it! I wish my stepdad would actually communicate this stuff to me.
I am not close to done with wrapping. haha
I'm not planning on baking, although we may bring some peanut butter chocolate chip cookies to Phoenix for Ray's mom's family get together.
You better make those!

My shopping is about 99% done, I still have to get Phillip's mom and step dad a gift but I am going out shopping tonight for it. Now I have to get to wrapping all the gifts...yuck, especially since my dogs always want to help!
I haven't started baking yet, I plan to do a little on Thursday and Friday when I am off. I am going to make Brownie covered oreos, cookies and a few breads. I love this time of year for baking.
I know, right? It's a little bit ridiculous. I'm really, really going to try. For reals.
Hi! I guess I'm done shopping- DH and I aren't doing gifts, we both bought 5 gifts for Deegan that each other will open Christmas morning with/for him. We just did framed photos of Deegan for Grandparents, so that was easy. I made oreo truffles for a cookie exchange party this past weekend, that's the only baking I'm doing. I took it a step further and made snowmen heads out of them, they turned out super cute!
Christmas will be quiet, since we don't have much family here. We're going up to my Mom's for Christmas Day dinner, but that's our only plans. It'll be a nice change from the craziness of going back home!
Merry Christmas ladies!!
I am almost done shopping. I am done for DH and DS and my nephews and neice. I still have to buy for our parents. I'm working from home on Thursday so I'll run over to Target or something on my lunch hour.
As for baking... this has been a work in progress. I have made chocolate covered pretzels, peppermint bark and oatmeal cinnamon chip cookies. I still have to make more of the first two and chocolate chip cookies. I'll work on it!
I am so looking forward to this holiday being home for the first in five years! Happy Holidays ladies!
I'm definitely not in the Christmas spirit this year. I have had possibly the worst week of the entire year.
We have half our presents to buy still but we can't get them until Friday when we're going to be shopping on Christmas Eve because one of my employers hasn't paid me in close to a month. Last weekend my truck was involved in a hit and run in a parking lot and they smashed my rear tail light. Sometime in the last two days someone also keyed the side of my truck which I really can't understand since I've purposely not parked next to anyone since the tail light incident. DH's family is having some serious issues because of my nutso SIL and my family is changing plans every single day because my aunt decided that her new husband's ENTIRE family needs to be part of Christmas Eve this year and invited themselves and all of them over to my mom's even though none of us adult children will even be there since we all have to work(I'm sure we could find time to stop by but I really am starting to lose it with her passive aggressive remarks.) Everything involving family seems to be getting more and more competitive(even presents and how you wrap them) and less like family.
People everywhere are in bad moods and generally just being nasty and I have seen or been close to so many accidents lately because everyone is in a rush and are driving like idiots.
I kind of want to just stay home and tell everyone, sorry we are staying home and watching tv this Christmas. So much for our first married Christmas being anything other than trying to keep our sanity.
Alright, done with my vent, sorry about that.
Done shopping. Have to wrap one present for my mom - a book, so it's just a matter of me being lazy.
And as far as my Santa Key... by the time I got out of work on Saturday the two different malls I went that weekend both were sold out on them. =(
But! I'm making my own. I found the poem on-line. I went to Home Depot and bought a package of two small brass skeleton keys for under two bucks - I'll just add a ribbon to one of them. And am currently doing a very small cross stitch piece that inserts into a greeting card and I am almost done. Just have some outlining in black to do and to glue it into the card which I will write the poem on.
No baking or that sort of thing. Ended up buying chocolate Santas in bulk from Frys that I gave to the coworkers.
my read shelf:
All my shopping and wrapping is done, thank goodness. I don't bake anything because only DH and my dad would eat it (sister is vegan, her DH is super picky, mom is allergic to dairy, and grandma is perpetually on a diet). Its not worth my time haha!
We're having Christmas on Christmas Eve since I have to work Christmas day this year. I'm also telling my sister I'm pregnant - this could get interesting so I'm just crossing my fingers she takes it well!
