DH and I haven't really exchanged gifts in a few years - mostly because we usually just get what we need/want - within reason, and don't always have extra money.
Well, this year, I wanted to surprise him with RIverdance tickets - so I suggested we spend about $100 on each other. I should have known better.
When we were talking about the plan for tomorrow night (dinner at my parents with my SIL and nephews to exchange gifts) he said that he needed to give me one of my gifts now. So, I opened up a new camera! Nothing too fancy, but WAY better than the Kodak EasyShare that we bought 5+ years ago for our honeymoon. He got a Nikon Coolpix S8100 (for you camera people).
He wanted something better than the $99 special, but we aren't ready for the the DSLR yet - especially me. But, this will totally be something that we'll use because my current picture taking routine is using my phone - and my crappy EnV Touch doesn't take the best pictures.
So, I'm super excited...and now feel guilty because I also know that he and R spent time shopping on Saturday and took those gifts to my parents house - which means there's more
And all I have for him is tickets to Riverdance.
I'll probably pick something else up for him, especially since I Know that my parents have gotten us a Kinect for the 360 - I'll probably get him a game or something and maybe a new bag for work, since he's currently using a backpack.
Re: AW: Early gift from DH!
Yeah! I agree, I would want both. Sometimes it's just easier to carry around a small camera. Does it feel weird to you, being so tiny?
)
I'd like a nicer small one too...perhaps DH won't use all of his Best Buy gift cards...
It doesn't feel weird with it being small. I actually notice a bigger size difference between using my D5000 and D300s, I just have trouble with the simplicity of the point and shoot sometimes, it took me about 5 minutes to figure out how to turn it on yesterday, LOL.
NICE!
Have you got the Riverdance tickets yet? If not, when you get them call and ask for Nancy (my MIL) tell her you are a friend of mine and she will hook you up with some good seats!
