What can i get HIS parents

I'm not that close to them unfortunately :( Of course I still want to get them something. I was thinking of getting them something together. They are not materialistic people at all. They don't need anything! I know she likes wine.. the only places they go out to eat are the 2 in town! Maybe a gift basket?? What can I put in it! Humm.... Please help!

Re: What can i get HIS parents

  • why don't you just put your dh in charge of getting his parents gift?

if they like wine you could do one of the wine clubs where they get a bottle per month. http://www.wineofthemonthclub.com/

  • Food gifts are always my staple. Everyone eats! People always seem to like omaha steaks or Harry and David baskets. The wine gifts are a good idea but can be pricier.
  • I understand you're not very close with his parents, but can't your husband help brainstorm ideas?  They are HIS parents so he should have some idea of what they would like (hobbies/interests/etc.)

  • He's not her H, he's her jerk boyfriend. I thought you were going to dump him and get your own place?
  • Get pregnant-that kills two birds with one stone!

A pregnancy announcement is the BESTEST gift you can give future grandparents, and kids always fix a sh!tty relationship! WALLA!

I thought I recognized her name from some off the wall post.

Anyways,,... baked goods are always good. Or some generic things like picture frames, wall hangings, cadles/candle holders, or a comfy holiday blanket. You could always do a gift basket for a "date" night. Get a gift card to a restaurant they go too... or even a new one to broaden their horizons, and a gift card to a movie theater. Or you could do a gift basket for a night in, like hot coacoa, a movie, and popcorn.

  • This year, we got DH's parents a Jabra bluetooth speakerphone for their cars. Got one for my brother too. They were on sale for $50 at Costco. I think it's a great gift, it says "we care." Smile
