Had the best time last night!

DH and I decided that I didn't have enough Christmas spirit yet, so we headed to downtown GSO and watched White Christmas at the Carolina Theatre.  The crowd was great (and also about 1100 strong!)--they clapped after several of the dance numbers, laughed out loud at the jokes, and at the end, sung aloud "White Christmas" with Bing and Rosemary.  It was a GREAT night--and so simple (and not terribly expensive either).  I had never seen the movie before, so this was perfect for us.

Tonight they are showing Holiday Inn if anyone is interested.  Tickets are $6 for adults.

I can't wait for cookie baking tonight and packing and for Christmas in general now.  What has gotten YOU in the holiday spirit?

Re: Had the best time last night!

  • That sounds like an awesome night!  Glad the Christmas spirit has found its way to you!!

I got into the Christmas spirit with the Raleigh Ringers concert (highly, highly recommend this) and giving gifts.  I truly love giving gifts that make people smile.  I made tutu's for a few little girls in our neighborhood and all of them put them on immediately and danced around for me!  It was so cute and so much fun!

  • Actually having a tree this year.  DH wouldn't let me have a tree the last 2 years, so once I got it in the house, I was feeling the Christmas spirit!!

That's awesome, and an awesome feeling, I agree.  Unfortunately we haven't really exchanged gifts with anyone yet, so I haven't had the opportunity to see those smiles.  :)

  • Glad you had a good time. We had a cookie exchange at work earlier this week, so I was baking over the weekend.
