My sister and BIL announced to the family this past weekend that they are pregnant (she found out Friday and was 5 weeks along). Yesterday, she started miscarrying. She started spotting, went to the dr., dr. said it didn't look good but couldn't confirm a miscarriage yet, and by last night she was having a light but steady flow.
My concern is how this will effect their relationship. They got married in Sept. 2006 and have had sex and money problems since day 1. My sister wasn't sure she wanted a baby yet, but has felt major pressure from her husband to get pregnant (the sex problems they were having were emotional issues on her part; it got so bad that they went to a sex therapist. they claimed they went 2 years without having sex at all; long story). Their sex problems have not been solved, and she saw pregnancy as a "fix" to the issue (thinking she wouldn't have to do it anymore).
Anyway, I know how difficult a miscarriage can be on a relationship, so please pray that not only will they handle the miscarriage the best they can, but pray that they will come out of it with a stronger marriage.
