This is a really dumb question but I want to get some moles removed. Do I call a dermotoligst? Any Baltimore girls have a recommendation? I live in the city, work in Owings Mills and spend a lot of time in AA county.
Re: Who do I see?
I can't help you on local docs, but as far as who removes the mole, it depends on where it is and how you want the area to look afterwards.
I have a mole on my face that I want removed and my dermatologist said he could remove it in the office, but that a plastic surgeon would be better to avoid scarring. If that's not a big concern for you (i.e. it's in a place where a scar wouldn't show), a dermatologist is probably the easiest way to go.

Start with a dermatologist, see what they say and then ditto if its in a "visible" location then you can go to a plastic surgeon.
If it is on your face or your arm or somewhere it would be regularly visible... if you are AT ALL vein... go to a plastic surgeon. Most dermas don't give a crap and just DIG in your skin, while a plastic surgeon will take great care.
LOL, this is so funny. What my derma said, exact words, were: "Well I can lop it off for you right here today, but since it's on your face you might want to see a plastic surgeon." I appreciate the honesty!
