is it bad re: cards

1) I don't like the picture I chose for this year of us

2) Walgreens sent me 20 envelopes instead of 40, so 1/2 have no envelopes (yes I probably could go and ask for 20 more at the store)

3) I haven't kept up my spreadsheet to know who I've received/sent to/from

Can I just skip sending any more out this year?  It means some people who sent us ones won't get them but I just don't have it in me this year.

  • I don't see a problem with not sending them. I didn't send any out this year. I tend to only send them every other year or so... and when I do send them out I for sure do not get them back from everyone I sent to. We usually mail out 60+ and I would say we only get 10-15 in the mail.

  • I don't think it's bad to skip sending any more out.  It's one less thing to worry about! :)

I had the same thing happen with card/envelopes though!!  I initially ordered 50 and they only gave me 30 envelopes!  So when I ordered 15 more, I asked for the 15 for these plus 20 they shorted me before (total 35), and I got 39.   People can't count. :)

We are in this boat too.  I think lots of people have good intentions of mailing them and then it gets too close to Christmas and they just decide not too.

Its okay if you don't get them sent out.  Don't make yourself more stressed!  Just hand them out to the friends and family you see around the holiday (saves on postage!)

  • This year I wasn't thinking when I ordered cards and didn't order enough, I only had enough to send to family and I worked on cutting the family list down (cutting out people who never send cards basically). I didn't have any left over to send to friends. I had some Christmas cards laying around I had got on Clearance one year and never sent, so I have just been sending those to friends who send us cards this year. I'll make sure to plan better next year (and continue narrowing down my list).
