Another is it bad

I normally make goody trays for the surrounding neighbors. Well this year, I made everything and last night I decided I didnt want to give them to the neighbors, I wanted to give them to the people at work.

Plus I threw some extra stuff in to some of my return customers who ordered some stuff, I gave some to my hair stylist and I need some for the gtg at my house tomorow and for Christmas.

The only neighbor who is getting anything from me this year is the neighbors do.

I'm justifying it as my neighbors shouldnt expect anything from me, plus I am still giving, just to different people.

Re: Another is it bad

  • I don't think that's bad at all!  It's nice of you to do, but certainly not expected/required!

  • You don't give them to your PITA neighbors do you?  I'd say you're all good.  This is why I get bothered by giving around the holidays sometimes.  It seems like if you do it once, it sets a precedent that needs to be repeated every year.  Bah.

  • Yes, I do. But maybe that is why I went Bah-humbug this year. I just had enough.

You are WAY too nice to do that.  I agree enough is enough.

  • IMO...I'd still at least send them a card if you usually do something for them.  If my neighbors sent me a goody tray every year...and this year I got nothing, no card, zilch...I'd wonder what's up. A guy my dad worked with always sent a huge baklava tray. Religiously! To the point that my family acutally did count on that as being part of our desserts for the holidays.  Had that tray not come one year, we would have been not offended persay, but it would have been weird.

No, your neighbors shouldn't expect anything...but they will. Send a card...say happy holidays...keeps everyone happy.

Maybe it'd be good if the one neighbors wonder what's up!  lol

Angi expects them to not be inconsiderate d*ckheads, but they don't care!  Why should she care what they expect?   hehehe :)
