OK - So I've taken to becoming an amateur weather sleuth these past couple of days. Depending on which forecast model you believe, one of the following will occur here in Central MD (indeed, the entire Mid-Atlantic region) over the Christmas holiday weekend...
a) Snow - and plenty of it! Some models are forecasting a nasty little dude hitting the Atlantic seaboard either Friday night into Saturday or Saturday night into Sunday, bringing with him enough blustery winds, record freezing temps and heavy snow accumulation to seriously cramp holiday travel plans in these parts....
b) Just a light dusting or flurries, no big deal.
c) Nothing at all...the system will just ease on out to sea and wave at us as it goes by.
I know that all we can ever do is just wait and see, but I just wish I knew which it's going to be! Because if it's "A", then that might actually make me happy, as we will most likely stay home and avoid the messy roads on Christmas. Unfortunately, H will be disappointed if that happens, but he can blame the weather, not his wifey! (wink, wink!)
If it's "B", then I'll be hitting the road, and all should be well. And if it's "C" then it will all turn out to be much ado about nothing! So which is it going to be??? The suspense is killing me ![]()
Re: Snow, or no snow? That is the question...
I totally understand!!!! Weather forecasts are always so "I can predict the weather better than any meteorologist can," in Michigan. Just like the weekend of our wedding - it was 85, sunny & humid on Thursday, 60, windy and partly cloudy on Friday and 45, windy & overcast the day of our wedding. BLAH!!!
They were calling for up to 3" last night which we didnt' get but a dusting. Not sure what we're getting over the weekend. We'll have a White Christmas regardless, but it all depends on the forecast as to whether or not the roads are clear...
