Being an elf is sooo evil sometimes ;)

So when J and I went to Texas, he discovered the wonder that is his Dad's Keurig coffeemaker. He used that thing every morning and couldn't wait to try new flavors (they get the 60 KCup variety pack) and couldn't pick a favorite. He was saying how much he wants one. Hence why I posted asking about them a month or so ago.

My parents were asking me what J wanted for Christmas about 3 weeks ago and I told them all I knew for sure is that he wanted a Keurig, but not a super-dee-duper fancy one that costs $200+ like the one his Dad wants because we (meaning myself) don't drink too much coffee (although I'd love too, but am holding off until after the baby's born). Turns out, the Keurig exactly what he's getting for Christmas from my parents.

Last weekend, I went Christmas shopping and got J the 60 KCup variety pack from BB&B. After I was done wrapping and we were hanging out watching a movie, he said "I was thinking of getting you a Keurig for Christmas, but I didn't because #1 you're not drinking coffee right now and #2, it's more something for the both of us and I'd rather get you something for you for Christmas." I couldn't help but snicker inside because he has no clue that it's waiting for him at my parents' house under their tree.....hehehehehehe. Devil

  • That is too funny!

DH will always start mentioning items he wants to buy in late Sept-Dec. I always tell him, "well your birthday and Christmas are coming up. Why don't you ask for those as presents so we don't have to buy them?" Knowing that I have already purchased the items or planned to purchase them as gifts. He is always surprised and has yet to figure it out.

  • Haha. I did the same thing with DH last year and a watch I bought him. It was technically a late wedding present, and he goes, "it's ok, I know we don't have the money to buy the watch. We'll just get it one day..." and I said, "yeah, I know, I'm really sorry." Little did he know that I was in the process of paying it off on layaway and when he got it on Christmas he flipped out like those kids who get the game systems for Christmas:
