Ruined my own Christmas surprises! :(
Stupid Amazon!
My husband's family has this rule that everyone has to a have an amazon wishlist so that we avoid getting each other gifts we don't want or we have it if we need inspiration or something.
I was just on Amazon and went to mine. I clicked the wrong thing and apparently that thing was "show purchased items from wishlist". All I was trying to do was edit the layout of the list! I just saw several things I'm getting. I feel like a jerk. I really didn't mean to do that!
At least I don't know who is giving me what, and I will still act super surprised, but I hate that I did that!

Tea Time for Lulu
My birthday is the first week of November. So a couple of weeks after my birthday, I went on my wishlist to delete a few items and add a few new things. I have a few items on there from other stores, so I was clicking on them to see if they were even still available (so I could delete them if they weren't). I clicked on this one item, and stupid Amazon gave me this warning about "Are you sure you want to continue? Someone might have purchased this for you!" The stupid thing is that I had clicked on other items that didn't give me that warning, so it was basically like Amazon had just straight out told me someone bought it for me. I got the same warning for an item sold through Amazon.
So, be warned! Even if you click on the links in your wishlist, Amazon may spoil the surprise. If you want to look at the item, search for it separately!
I'm so sorry...frikkin Amazon.
I did something similar in J and my first Christmas as a married couple back in 2007. We didn't have the money to get each other wedding gifts, so we said we'd do it at Christmas instead. I had asked for a sterling silver Tiffany necklace and he asked for a PS3. I was doing laundry and J leaves receipts in his pockets and I have to go through them to see if they're old and can be shredded or if it's a recent purchase and I need to enter it into the checkbook. One was balled up and I opened it and it was a Tiffany's receipt. I seriously cried my eyes out because I felt so stupid to think that he would remember to take Christmas receipts out of his pockets before laundry. Now I hand him the pants and say "empty the pockets so I don't see anything I shouldn't". But I still felt like a stupid-head that day.
