Soooo....
I've always had VERY normal cycles--I'm talking 30 days to the T. I went on NuvaRing for a year or two after coming off the pill because it regulated the pH and was easier to remember. DH and I decided to go off of BC in May. I had 3-4 months of VERY normal cycles again. And that's when I stopped. I have not had a period (ovulated) without the help of my Dr since August.
I've already seen my Dr and we're starting Clomid in January, but I'm just curious...has anyone heard of these issues with NuvaRing??

I would love to see scientific documentation of a correlation between the NuvaRing and PCOS.
Methinks that you should read a little more about your condition.

I don't usually reply to boards, but you've almost exactly described my situation, so I figured I'd chime in.
I was on Nuva Ring for about 3-4 years. Before I got on it, like you said, I was always regular, since I was a teenager, every 28 days. Once I got off, I was regular for a couple months, then it was very irregular.......every 8 weeks or so, light, heavy, etc. I went to the doctor, first she told me to wait it out, when that didn't work I took progestrone for a month or so, that also didn't work. I went back on another type of birth control (a pill) for 2 months. Luckily that did the trick. I was regular again after I got off that birth control.
It took us almost a year after I initially got off the Nuva Ring, but my husband and I got pregnant without any drugs or invasive procedures. If you've only been off since May, you might want to talk to your doctor about some other options before going on Clomid. Good luck!
I was using the Nuvaring and got preggo too!!
i'm currently 21 weeks! O.o
before that i was using BCP with no problems.
