But won't the kid recognize it's ally in achieving life and naturally come toward it? I should have said get THE sturdy towel.
Is he here yet??

A friend of mine also went into labor this morning and/or was induced (I'm not clear on how it went down) but she stalled so they sent her home on bedrest until Monday, when they will try again.
Why do babies not want to be borned today?

"The meek shall inherit the earth" isn't about children. It's about deer. We're all going to get messed the fuckup by a bunch of cloned super-deer.- samfish2bcrab
Sometimes I wonder if scientists have never seen a sci-fi movie before. "Oh yes, let's create a super species of deer. NOTHING COULD POSSIBLY GO WRONG." I wonder if State Farm offers a Zombie Deer Attack policy. -CaliopeSpidrman

Thanks for all the support here! I can post a birth story once we get home if people are interested, but basically after a pretty quick and easy dilation, he wouldn't descend far enough to come out because he was face up and slightly diagonal. After 5 hours of pushing and 3 attempts to turn him, I ended up with a c-section. Recovery sucks so far, but luckily MrTummy will be off all next week, and my parents are coming the week after that, so I should have lots of help.

BIRTH IS SHOCKING.
Much more at peace with the idea of life on the outside:
Also, to my Secret Santa: My H went home today to take care of Jenny and said that a package is waiting for HappyTummy. He didn't remember any of the sender's info, so your identity remains a secret. I will post my sure-to-be rave review after we get home on Sunday!

Congrats HT! He's a cutie.
James was my dad's name and his birthday was this week too, so I know he's going to be awesome!
