Need a Pot Luck App for tonight (!)
It needs to be something reallllly easy b/c I'm at work right now and don't have all day to prep something. I already bought a bottle of champagne, but need to bring an app too.
My initial thought was brie and crackers that I can pick up on my way home before getting ready for the party, but someone is already bringing cheese. It's about 20-25 college girlfriends getting together. (I saw the list and the menu seems a little all over the place - so I'm not sure what to bring)
All ideas welcome! Thanks in advance.
Re: Need a Pot Luck App for tonight (!)
My go to is Jalepeno popper dip. There's recipes out there I just wing it.
2 packages cream cheese, room temp (mircowave to warm up a bit)
sour cream (2-3 spoonfuls, to taste)
Jalepeno slices, cut up (to taste)
Jalepeno juice from jar (to taste also) more juice and peppers for more spicy.
This is great warm, so if you have a small crockpot it's perfect if kept on low. Serve with restaurant style tortilla chips.
Raspberry Chipotle Dip
1 block of cream cheese, room temp
raspberry preserves, to taste
chipotle sauce, to taste
Mix the raspberry preserves and chipotle sauce together and pour over cream cheese. Serve with crackers.

Can be served as an app or a dessert: Cream Cheese and Skor Bar Apple Dip
I usually just take one skor bar and crush it myself. I also made this when in a mad rush after work and it took no more than 10 minutes to put together.
Have fun.
I just finished making this:
hummus

With homemade pita chips

(I don't have chervil so I skipped that. I also used the olive oil spray)
I doubled the recipes, added sliced english cucumber, carrots, and peppers. Took 25 mins to make.
