Sad about my ornament
When our ornament exchange began this year, I read Dragonfly_Bride's vent about her concerns from previous years. I really wanted to make sure I thanked my Elf promptly and looked forward to posting a pic of my new ornament. I was so excited for this exchange!
But now, it's the day before Christmas Eve, and I never got my ornament. I'm really bummed out. I know it's not the end of the world, but it was something I was really looking forward to, and I feel let down. 
Sorry for the Debbie Downer post. I think I'm PMSing and super emotional right now. I even cried during "The Princess and the Frog" last night. I'm such a weenie.

Aw, you know, I ended up sending mine really late (I know, I know, me!), which I felt terrible about.
Anyway, I'd give it until at least tomorrow (mail comes tomorrow). Plus, maybe the person sent it and there are complications... maybe you'll get some elf-mail letting you know the status??
Have you received any messages from your nestie? Did you have the correct address on your profile?
I took time to pick out my ornament and had it shipped super early. After contacting my nestie to confirm that she got it, she claimed she didn't and then started the hunt. Come to find out that the address she had in the system was her old address. She stated that she changed it but the system must have not saved it. I called UPS to have them go to the location to get it back but they were unsuccessful. Stupid people probably kept the cute things I picked out. I was so bummed as I thoughtfully picked the ornaments for HER and not some random person.
Anyway....not to bombard on your post.... but it could have been an innocent mistake. I hope it arrives for you ASAP.
Thanks ladies! I'll still hang on to hope that it will get here. The only message I have is from Elfster reminding me to thank my Elf! lol
I did have my correct address on there until the day before yesterday (I just didn't want my address on there forever), when I figured if it hasn't been sent by then, it probably wasn't coming.
I'm absolutely sure that my Nestie Elf is not mean spirited or anything. It has to be an innocent mistake. I guess I'll just treasure it that much more when it gets here!
If your ornament never comes, I'll let you have an ornament I've been saving for a "special" occasion (just haven't figured out who exactly to give it to -- but I bought two of them because this particular one was going to be discontinued).
ETA: The only catch is that I have to find it... it's still packed in a box somewhere in my house!
I'm so incredibly sorry about all this Moosie. I'd like to make this right as much as I possibly can.
I'd like to bring you an ornament if I may. Of course I won't be in the South Bay until tomorrow late afternoon/early evening, but I would like to give you one. I know I'm not your Elf, but I feel no one should be left out of a great exchange like this, especially not someone who is as active a participant and someone who is liked as much as you are.

Haha, ironically we'll be up north tomorrow to spend Christmas Eve with my family, so we won't be here! I would love to GTG with you someday though. That would be fun.

moosie, sorry that happened to you but I'm glad the ladies here were able to make you feel better.
A coworker turned me on to the company that makes these ornaments (there's an entire line of them!) last year. I saw they were discontinuing the police officer one, so I snagged a couple. I figured they'd come in handy at some point! (Turns out they have a new police merman this year... this one has the "cop" wearing a torn wifebeater). You can most likely find one for everyone in your life!

I totally thought of you when I saw all the cupcake ornaments at Crate and Barrell and Cost Plus, I should have gotten them for you!
Awwww, you are so sweet! It's so funny, because *I* always think of *YOU* too when I see cupcake stuff!
It's okay. I figured out who my elf was, and it was a lady named LisaG101010 who only made an intro post and that was it. She was not really an active member of our board, and I guess she just decided to sign up for the exchange and never came back. ::shrugs::
I was thinking about it, and I really hope that she just forgot, or decided not to participate. It would really suck if the reason she couldn't follow through was because of some tragedy or something. I'm hoping she's okay and it was just a mistake.
