I tried the Rachael Ray recipe tonight! I forgot to buy Guinness, so had to use what we had in the house (Gritty's Pub Ale). The gravy was kind of bitter and had an aftertaste, so maybe the Guiness would help with that. I'll have to try it again using the Guinness.

 Also, the recipe says to cook the onions for 20-30 minutes, I believe. Mine started to blacken after about 10 min, so not sure if I didn't cut them thick enough or maybe had the heat up too high (although I had it lower than the recipe stated).

Other than that it was yummy!! Thanks for posting. :)
