'Twas two nights before Christmas...
and some a-hole dug a huge hole in our backyard!!! I went to take the dogs out this morning and discovered a huge hole in the easement behind our house. It is just outside of the fence because even though it is our property the county has to be able to access it (power lines). At first I thought maybe a stray dog did it to keep warm but there were human foot prints and obvious shovel marks. DH called a Deputy that he knew was working today and we got a report. They said there was a spot back there where the person set down the shovel and ate an apple (the apple carcass was found at the scene). DH is making sure they didn't bury anything back there and is filling it in. Neither dog made a peep last night. Emma gets a free pass because she is crated at night but Stella gets a giant guard dog fail! She usually sleeps in front of the sliding glass door but has been sleeping next to the bed lately b/c of the cold (I swear she's a real Husky!). Merry Christmas Eve everyone!!
