The hole digging bandit returned last night. The suspect wears crocs and appears to be youngish (judging from the size of the croc impressions left at the scene). Clearly the perp didn't expect to have to redig as they made a halfassed attempt. They also left behind a nerf gun. I'm trying to convince H to conduct a stake-out tonight, but he's being a crotchety old man complaining he doesn't want to stay up late. I'm picturing creeping around wearing all black until they show then embarrassing the crap out of them by bringing them home and explaining to their parents what they've done (not they would care that much since they're letting their kids out that late to begin with).

Re: An Updateon 'the hole'
That is so weird. Are they trying to dig under your fence?
..and they left behind their nerf gun, lol. Santa should take away their presents, stupid brats.
I agree, you should definitely do a stake-out. Sounds fun!
Did you call the police, again?
It sounds like they're playing a neighborhood game at night. We had a lot of kids in the neighborhood I grew up in and we'd run rampant through yards at night...we never dug holes, but if we knew a game that involved holes I'm sure we would have done it! Maybe he is trying to get someone to trip??
I dunno....I'm sure I sound like a total moron...
Weird. Tell your H to man up and stake out.
