Blizzard!

DH and I went home for Christmas and we're now in New York in the middle of a blizzard! I was thinking before we went home how much I missed the cold weather and was sad about not seeing any snow and now they're predicting over 12 inches of snow. I know I'm in the minority about this, but I'm pretty excited about it!

I'm a little jealous because I'm bummed we won't have time to go to the mtns this holiday. My hometown is an hour away from the Sierra. I hope you won't have trouble getting back to the Bay Area though.

I just came in from helping T shovel the driveway. We got about 2 feet. If only I didn't have to go to work today..

 That stinks! I've been hearing a lot of job closures down by us. Be careful on the roads!

I've been checking out flight status and so far so good. We leave tomorrow and the plane's two previous flights are coming from Texas and then Portland so I don't think we'll be delayed.

Tomorrow is supposed to be warm and sunny..hopefully you'll get out okay!

CNN and the local news station here is reporting that all NY airports are closed until 4pm EST. I hope you get back okay without significant delays.

All of our east coast offices are closed today because of the blizzard (that's where the majority of our firms employees, and our headquarters are). The 18 of us out in SF are talking about how we should get a "snow day" too (or at least a "fog day", since it's really foggy in SF today).

Well, unfortunately even though we're not supposed to leave until tomorrow morning they canceled our flight. Continental is overloaded with phone calls, so I started calling all their hotlines and finally got through on the Asia line. I have a feeling I'll be on hold for at least 2 hours (as per a Travel Agent's estimates). Up to 30 minutes so far. Bleh.

We ended up Getting 2 feet of Snow & the wind is Blowing LIke CRAZY, its up to 50-60 mph here!

We just made it home from My MIL house that we got suck at saturday night.

 That is crazy! Glad you got home ok! We were up in Chester visiting DH's uncle and his brother made us drop him off first before going home to my parent's house in Tappan. 4 1/2 hours when it should have been 1 1/2.

Yea about 20 mins south of us Got Hit with 3 feet of Snow & 2 feet on the beach in Atlantic City,NJ.
