How is all our east coast nesties surviving this? We are probably stuck in New England for another day, hopefully we can get out tomorrow morning. They are saying there are still cars stranded around the east coast so were not taking any chances! Everyone else doing ok?

Fortunately I'm off work already (we get the day after Christmas off so the observed holiday is today) so I'm hanging out and enjoying the day. Neighbors are snow blowing but it's still pretty windy so it won't do much for long.

YIKES!! we got about 2 feet in central NJ. Its a MESS!!! Luckily, hubby and I are both off from work all week, so thank god, we have no where to be. Good thing, because I don't know how I'd get my car out. It's a disaster out there. I hate the winter

We got about 20 inches here, and it's crazy windy making some of the drifts several feet high. It's times like this that I'm very glad that we live in an apartment (no shoveling!) with a covered parking spot, in an urban area with lots of things to walk to. My company is closed this week and DH works from home, so no worries here. My only concern at the moment is that I used up the last of our milk and eggs this morning, so later today I'll walk to the bodega around the corner and get more so that we can have breakfast tomorrow.
As I said to DH yesterday, this storm happened at a perfect time (for us, anyway), after we got back from the Christmas festivities but several days before we need to drive anywhere again!

April Nesties March siggy challenge: Next Vacation, Anguilla!!
We had a delay at work today (I feel like I'm in high school again!) so I got into work @ 10AM. Pretty quiet here, my boss is on vaca anyway, so I'm gonna see if i can sneak out early.
This morning kind of sucked, they didn't plow the T stop so the sidewalk was covered in snow!!!

As much I had hoped for snow, the blizzard totally whiffed on Central MD! Southern MD and the Eastern Shore got slammed, but we barely have dust out there. But we've been experiencing strong 35-40 mph wind gusts (all last night and will last through tonight), man it is frigid here! With the windchill it feels like single digits...But fortunately, I'm off this week, so I'm hanging out by the fire with my new nook (yay!) getting acquainted with it :-)
Just hoping that the wind doesn't cause any power outages, as our neighborhood is an older one with oogobs of big, tall trees. That would not be fun - but so far, so good!!
