Good Morning ladies! Did everyone have a nice Christmas? What'd you all get? Extra points if you PIP (just to get things moving today...I'm at work but because of this storm it looks like I may be the only one here today other than a secretary who made it).
Re: Monday Morning
Good morning! Christmas was great and it's even better I took vacation all this week, woo-hoo no work! (Sorry for those that are working, I just needed a break from them all).
DH got me the nook color , which I said I can do perfectly fine with the non-color version but he insited I keep it. I'm a little nervous about it being more like a computer screen when I'm working long hours at work and reading on the train, but I think i'll be okay. David loves it too. I downloaded a free kids book and it can read to him. He knows how to advance to the next page and everything.
I still need to download all the pictures I took but David seemed to enjoy himself a lot. He was all about make sure all the wrapping paper was off the present before he could really focus on what was in/on the box. I cleaned up his toy room yesterday and for some strange reason it looks more empty (probably because I put everything in storage containers and stuck them in his closet).
Other then that, the holiday was pretty uneventful, which is fine by me!
I know, I'm really trying to be good. I just bought a cover for it (they are freaking $$, especially compared to the regular Nook ones). I will be taking mine in my work bag on the train and I don't want it to get scratched or broken with all the files and such I bring with me.
If you go on the Nest Book Club Board there should be an older post about the National Library in Philadelphia (I think it's Philadelphia) where you can get an annual membership for about $15 a year and can get access to e-books that way. IT's available to anyone in the country. If I can find the link to it, I'll share it here. ($15 a year versus $10/book isn't that bad).
sorry, it's the Free Library of Philadelphia
