So maybe it's a little early to discuss these, but do any of you ladies know what you're doing for New Year's Eve yet? One of our friends is getting married on the 30th, and then some of our friends are having a party for NYE. We'll have a pretty busy next couple of days, so I'm really enjoying having some time right now to just relax. I have to get some lesson planning done before NYE though, as I know I'll do nothing after that shindig.
Re: New Year's Eve Plans?
We have a wedding on the 1st so NYE will be mellow. We are going to my brother's to spend the evening with him and our nephew playing wii and other games. We may be heading down to a bday skating party for our friend's daughter earlier in the day as well. Should be a healthy day for us!!
Same as last year, probably---go out and meet our friends at a bar at 4 pm., have a rockin' good time, and then go home early to miss the craziness. It was so much fun last year--we had the bar all to ourselves, it was easy to get a cab home, and we had some appitizers to throw in the oven when we got home.
Lame to some, awesome to us.
DH wanted to get away for a weekend in Dec or Jan, so we booked a room at a hotel at the base of one of the mountains about an hour away.
We are staying NYE and the next night, and have reserved a table a the restaurant on NYE for a romantic dinner. Just the two of us, yay!!!
That is so much fun! My friends and I did a fondue party once and everyone brought a different item. It was a blast. I cheat and make chocolate fondue in my crock-pot. I love fondue!
