Recipe rave for gapgirl!

I made her chocolate peanut butter cake for Christmas, http://recipes.tysworld.com/index.php?m=recipes&a=view&recipe_id=4598 (sorry, can't link it) and it was a huge hit!

Normally, everyone goes crazy over my cheesecake, but they didn't even look at it once they caught a glimpse of this cake!

DH did some "organizing" (read - replaced some of my pots and pans before I got them on Christmas - doh!) so I used an angel food cake pan and it was fine.

For the frosting, I found that 3 cups of confectioners sugar was more than enough.

The cake is super moist, so I wrapped it in syran wrap and let it chill in the fridge overnight and it was fine to frost.

Thanks again for this recipe, Jerrah! It was awesome!

  • LOVE that freaking cake!

I made it in January for my sister's birthday so I just put the cake outside until I was ready to frost it.  Worked perfectly.  But it definitely needs to chill before you frost it.  SOOOOOO GOOD!

  • thanks!  It is one of my favorite!  Yes, you do need to chill it before frosting.  Glad you and everyone else enjoyed it :)
