Help me plan some parties
My Brother in law is getting married to this incredible woman. They have decided to go to Vegas to get married and then later on a honeymoon. They have agreed to a bachelor/bachelorette party before they leave and a reception for when they get back and I was hoping you ladies could post some ideas about what you did for yours. I got married at a chapel(they don't want to do that) and the chapel provided a lot of stuff. My bachelorette party was great but majority of the ladies left after my stripper came. I don't have an idea other than what I did, but I think she might want something different and we are suppose to get together this week to talk places, faces and things. But I would like to have some ideas going in. Could you ladies PLEASE help me. TIA
Re: Help me plan some parties
Oh I love this stuff! I've done event planning for years. Recently, I've gotten out of it because I didn't want to do it professionally. But I love to do it for friends, or in situations just like this!
There are lots of things you can do for the bachelorette party. The pole dancing place is a great idea. It's comfortable because it's just girls. The downtown piano bar is also awesome- and definitely different. I've hosted a bachelorette party there and stayed at a hotel afterwards- so much fun! If they would like more laid back- you could also do a downtown trolley to Eischen's Chicken and then back to downtown to a low key bar and hotel. You could also do a suite at a Thunder game for the bachelorette party. I've been to one there too. We had so much fun. The suite belonged to a friend of a friend. If you asked around, you might be able to get it pretty inexpensively. And one last thing I've done: had a lingerie/ bachelorette party. The lingerie shower was at someone's house. Just fun drinks and lingerie gifts and games. Then afterwards we went to a local bar. That was nice because people who didn't want the bar scene just came for the lingerie part. And the *fun* people all went to the bar.
We played fun games at the lingerie shower- where people all wrote a piece of advice to the bride (depending on who it was, some did silly/ dirty advice, some did really nice advice). We also played the how well does the bride know the groom game. I had previously asked the groom ridiculous questions (what breed was your first dog?) and then asked the bride all of them. For every quesion she got wrong she had to put a piece of double bubble gum into her mouth. The bride always ends up with a lot of gum in her mouth! Haha it's hilarious.
Bless you for reading this far... I have lots of ideas- sorry! But I hope this helped you some!

I'm no help in the bach. party planning department unfortunately... Every party I've ever been to has been in Dallas or Tulsa. We usually rent a suite at a hotel, have shots and apps followed by a lingerie shower, hop in the party bus (with stripper pole... double whammie!!) then we head somewhere for dinner, and then out to a few fun bars before crashing back at the hotel.
My best girlfriend did something really fun at my bachelorette party. We had a pre-party (before going out) and she did a flight of drinks that I enjoyed from around ages 16 to 23. You could ask a friend of hers if you haven't known her for long. So, we toasted with:
Boone's Farm Strawberry Hill
Andre with Peach Schnapps
Miller Lite
Sex on the Beach
and
Vodka Tonics
Even then, it made us all laugh. At 31, though, it cracks us up at how bad our taste was back then!
