Where do you store your pictures/videos?
I'm trying to find a better way to store our pictures so they aren't on our computer. Looking at options of storing pictures and videos online vs. getting an external hard drive. Any suggestions of what is better, or other options? Thanks!

Re: Where do you store your pictures/videos?
I have an external hard drive because I like to keep raw files for editing, which you can't do on most photo storage websites.
And, since I'm paranoid about backing up things, I also burn DVDs and store them in our security deposit box at the bank. That way, in a worst case scenario where our house and everything in it is destroyed, we still have copies of our photos.

I have been debating a safe deposit box forever. We thought about getting a fire safe, but someone made the point that DVDs wouldn't necessarily be safe in there due to the heat. So maybe I'll just bite the bullet and do that for our paperwork and photos.
Right now I have them on my computer and an external drive. I burned a bunch of the girls' photos on DVD for my mom as well. DH also has them on his computer. We have raw files for all of our pics too. My personal photography photos (pre-babies) I'm not worried about as much as the girls' photos. I asked about this on another board and someone told me they use a website with unlimited storage for an annual fee as well as making photo books frequently, but I haven't looked at it too much yet.

I have all of mine backed up on thumb drives and in our safe (it is fire, water and heat proof). I am looking into online storage sites too. I would die if I lost all my photos, especially the ones of Ellie.

I have an external hard drive and use Dropbox for online backup. You get a pretty large amount of storage for free and you can access your files from any computer with internet access and your phone. It also syncs automatically so things are always backed up.
