Even though I was laid off three weeks ago and have not ONE job prospect, I totally purchased two cardis off AE.com today. My defense was weakened with 30% off clearance prices.
Now, everyone please confess something so that I feel better. Kthanx.

Re: Flameful Confessions
I had a really bad Christmas.
This was my first Christmas without my dad; and I was just looking foward to being around family.
H's step dad was very grumpy the whole time we were in Michigan, and refused to cook Christmas Dinner. His mom ate leftover Pizza/Enchalada's for dinner on Christmas.
I cried, a lot.
His mom made us French Toast for Christmas Dinner.
Sunday Night we had a ham dinner - his step dad pulled faces when I said I was eating at the dinner table, as oppsed to on the floor in front of the TV.
I want to re-do Christmas.
I'm slightly bitter over Christmas with my ILs. MIL and I had gone shopping several times through October-November and had discussed Christmas gifts at length. I really wanted an electric tea kettle and found one in an appropriate store, within an appropriate price range that would be easy for MIL. She's always told me that she'd rather do "small practical gifts that we need" for Christmas and this has held true over the last several years. Cost has always been a concern and I've done really well over the years to limit my list to useful things within a certain budget.
Did I get the tea kettle for Christmas? No. I got a few random kitchen things, a gift card, and a stocking full of Dollar Store junk. My SIL got a Coach purse (from the new outlet that opened up in their town). Call me envious, but I sure as hell would have rather had a Coach purse than the things I did get.

We canceled our trip to visit the ILs a few weeks ago because it was supposed to snow less than an inch. We are supposed to get up to 5" in the next 2 days and we are still planning on visiting my family. We'll be careful of course and if it is truly dangerous, we will cancel but I miss my family and DH wants nothing to do with about 85% of his family.
DH wants nothing to do with most of his family and we gave his grandma a webcam so we can Skype. Because we can now Skype with them, we will be visiting far less often.
I have been late every day this week because I have slept in a little later than I should. I don't know that this is real flameful though because there are very few actually here and we have a relaxed schedule.
I hate driving to Michigan for the holidays to visit the ILs. I don't mind being with them once there (though this year I was more annoyed than usual), but I really hate the drive.
I hate my MILs cooking.
