Reliable tax person/accountant
Hey girls,
It's been a while as I've been busy with the house, traveling for Xmas, and work since I got back. BLAH!
I was wondering if anyone could recommend someone to do our taxes? I could do them myself, I know, but with this being our first one with the house and all the itemizing, I'd rather pay someone who KNOWS what they are doing and will get us the best return.
I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

Thanks! We moved in the weekend before Thanksgiving and let me tell you, IT was stressful since we had my IL's and my Dad coming in for T-Day!
We're still getting things put away. Since we live there now, it's harder to get things done! haha But now that we know the sex of the baby, we're starting the room this weekend and hopefully hanging some more things too.
Wow, that must have been stressful. Aww yay for his room.

IMO unless you have other deductions that lead you to itemizing (medical, donations etc), or you itemized last year, you probably won't end up having to itemize based on your mortgage interest.
I know for us, since our mortgage is relatively small, we don't even come anywhere close to having enough interest paid on our mortgage to justify itemizing. So, since you guys haven't had your house all year, it's possible your taxes will be just like they were last year.
That being said, we use TaxAct because it's free and barely takes any time to go through the interview questions. Unless we had complicated taxes (and I wasn't an accountant) I wouldn't pay someone to do them because the free/cheap softwares will do just as good of a job.
