So how does everyone feel about the OU scandal.
I would just like to say that I really didn't care about it at all until it came out that the OU, Big 10, and Sugar Bowl Powers-That-Be lobbied to have the suspensions delayed until after the Bowl game to 'preserve it's integrity'. So you sacrifice a whole school and conference and sports associations's integrity for one bowl game? That absolutely doesn't sit right with me.
The NCAA enforcement committee has had an interesting year, to say the least.

I think it is absolutely ridiculous that they are able to play in the bowl game.

Totally agree. They should have to sit out the bowl game - if you're suspended, you're suspended for EVERY game after the suspension starts. I think it's stupid - and I'd totally say the same thing if my school was in the same situation.

DH thinks it's ridiculous and he does enforcement/compliance (at another school in another conference). DH thinks that the rule of not allowing them to sell their gear is a dumb rule (they can sell their stuff after their eligibility is expired, but not while they're students, and what's the difference save 6-12 months, depending on when they get it), but the additional benefits he agrees with.
But anyway, his POV is if you're suspended, you're suspended, and that's it. Period.
