What are you doing for NYE?

There are 3 things I need to accomplish before we go to our party.

1. I have to get my eyebrows waxed

2. A woman from the health department is coming over to interview me about the triplets.

3. I have to go to the gym. 

Then we're headed to a good couple friends of ours for rock band, board games and champagne.

Jim's going to work.  I have the day off, so I want to get a pedicure and hopefully a cat.  This evening, we"ll stop by Jim's sister for a bit.  That's it.  Nothing big.

We're having ppl over for a 10 course meal that includes lobster bruchetta, coconut shrimp soup, and stuffed mini pumpkins.  I'm the somellier for the night, and I realized this morning that the champagne I thought was in the house is actually at my parents house (re ran out of space for wine after our Napa trip).  I have a few things to finish up from work, but then I'm off to the store to get some champagne.

We have a wedding to attend.  Not sure if we will stay the whole night or take off around 10:30 or 11:00 and head out to a friends small house party.  I like low key NYE celebrations.  I most definitely will be drinking a substantial amount of liquour.  Then we have a family day at my Dad's tomorrow.

Can you believe it? No plans. And I'm quite happy that way.

I just finished a workout; now I have to get ready and go into work (late...eek.)  FMO's post reminded me that I wanted to get my eyebrows waxed before tonight, so maybe I will try to sneak out of work and get that done quickly this afternoon.

 

Then tonight, we are going to a Moroccan restaurant with a group of friends for a late dinner. I'm hoping we stay there all night - just eat well, drink well, watch bellydancers, ring in the New Year, and head home shortly thereafter.  We may all be going to a party after dinner for midnight, though I'm personally hoping it's a relatively early and laid-back evening.

we were supposed to go out for a late dinner with friends, but unfortunately, I woke up this morning with the same cold that Sean's been battling for almost 2 weeks. soooo, it looks like I'll be spending the day/evening on my couch. probably won't even be awake for midnight!

We had a party here last night and BIL and SIL came over...so we went out for breakfast this morning.  Then I came home and de-Christmas'd the house.  In a little bit I will be showering and then we are dropping the dogs off at a friends' house and going out of town for the night.  We are hanging out with my bff and her boyfriend, they are getting engaged (so she will be surprised).  We will do an early-ish dinner and probably be back to the hotel before midnight.

Normally I make a pretty big deal about NYE, but this year I have NOTHING planned. It is hard living in a new city. I just don't have a group of friends yet. I like the idea of getting eyebrows waxed. There is a little place down the street that is supposed to do a good job and is fairly inexpensive. Maybe I will pop over there. 

DH and I will probably just end up staying at home and watching a movie.

Not much.  We got a snowstorm last night, and it's only 9* today, so the roads are terrible and I don't want to go anywhere.  There was a 20-car pileup near our house, and it was nuts.  Probably a pizza and movie night, or bowl game watching.  If it's clear we can see the fireworks from the top of Pikes Peak from home (if we're still awake at midnight).

I am working and will be lucky to be off before midnight. But I never do anything anyways, last year I was asleep by 12

We will be spending it over at my MIL house. It should be fun my mom and brother will be joining us too. We usually pop fireworks and break a pinata since its a Mexican tradition. For dinner we will be having tamales and menudo.

We're staying home. DH is making lasagna, and we're renting a couple of movies. I'm really looking forward to a nice night at home.

We were going to stay home and kick back, but we found out a bunch of our friends will be at our neighborhood bar. (i.e. it's a nerf football throw from our loft.) So if we don't stop in and see them it would be super lame. I'm excited to go out, drink and have fun with friends.
