Hi all, a close friend of mine needs to find an allergist. My poor friend is allergic to something and she doesn't know what. She has hives all over her body and the dermatologist she has been seeing keeps sending steroids and antihistamines at her, which isn't helping. Can anyone recommend one? THANK YOU and HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Re: Allergist Recommendation
When I lived in PDX I saw Dr. Barzin Khalili at the allergy clinic downtown on 10th. He's great! Love him!

I haven't visited an allergist here, but . . .
if, after she's seen an allergist, she wants to try and decrease them I can recommend my chiropractor (Laura Swingen @ Sunset Chiropractic). She's trained in NAET, which is an allergy elimination technique. It sounds hokey and absurd, but I've tried it with my most severe allergies (treenuts, shellfish, avocados, & plums) and they've improved. Not to the point where I'll ever feel comfortable eating those foods, but enough that my lips don't swell up and that I don't obsess about cross contamination when I eat out.
