my choice drink tonight... coffee. So that I can attempt to stay awake and watch a movie with DH. I may or may not be awake for the countdown.

I dislike how busy the holidays make my work, and I am somewhat excited for the slowness of January.

You're not alone!! DH has to work tonight, and I didn't want to go out without him, so I'm eating fudge leftover from Christmas and surfing the internet. Go me! Haha!

I am right there with you. I just had a coke in attempt to infuse some caffeine into my system to wake up a little bit. I think I'll be sleeping shortly and DH will be waking me up at 11:45!   He'll be watching TV with my mom (I just vetoed a Dukes of Hazard marathon)

We had some wine and watched the movies Taken and Up.  We missed seeing the ball drop by 4 minutes, oops!

DH had to get up for work at 4 this morning so he was in bed by 9:30 last night. I did end up staying awake with the pup long enough to see the NKOTBSB performance lol and watch the ball drop.

i got home from work at 11:30 last night. watched the ball drop and got my twigs (i get twigs on new years, put one in my wallet and give the other to a friend) then went to sleep without H because he was drunk. woke up with my shirt on backwards and an empty bed.

I actually surprised myself and was awake the whole night! We got some Chinese food, played a game of scrabble, had a pint bottle of beer each and smooched at midnight. It was a good night - sleeping in was nice too!

DH and I went out with some friends, but didn't drink much because my dinner gave me a sour stomach.  I had a glass of champagne at midnight, then DH was out like a light by 1 in our hotel room.  :-)  We decided New Years is overrated.

We went out to an AMAZING steakhouse - pricey, but OMG such good food!  We went out with DH's best friend (also his BM) and his now fiancee!  They got engaged Christmas Eve.  There was a party we could have gone to, but we got home around 11 and decided to stay in.  We had prosecco at midnight, crashed around 1am, and had mimosas with our pancakes this morning.  DH is now screaming at his computer - he asked for Microsoft Visual Studio for Christmas and got it, but it won't run.  And it wasn't cheap.  Needless to say, he's more than a little bit pissed.  I'm staying out of his way and trying to help by doing some of the housework and trying to find avenues he hasn't explored yet, but I feel bad because it's just not working.

We have leftover bacon-wrapped filet mignon and mashed potatoes in the fridge for lunch.  Yum!
