ebooks?

I know lots of you ladies have ereaders. I got my Kobo ereader for Christmas and it came preloaded with 100 classic books. I do plan on reading these (and I've read plenty of them before) but I want get more new books on there as well.

My question is this: where do you buy/get your ebooks from? Kobo has a store (just as I'm sure Kindle does) but I'm not finding the books on there to be, um, reasonably priced. I don't really want to pay 11 bucks for an ebook when I could go get a trade paperback for close to the same price.

Anyone have a site where they get cheaper ebooks? Or, perhaps, download them for free?

Thanks in advance!

Re: ebooks?

  • For the most part I buy mine from Amazon (for the Kindle) because, yeah, it costs about the same as a paperback, but if it's only available in hardcover (for now) it's worth it to me.

I have gotten 1 book from a torrent site, and I've heard of people getting more through torrents.  You might also be able to get them from your local library, but I'm not sure if the Kobo is supported, I think they only support the Sony eReader with the library systems right now.
