Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. Vent about the parents
Sometimes my parents get on my last nerve.
My dad's truck broke down over two weeks. My mom has been training for her new job and she actually started work yesterday. And a few times in the last two weeks, she came over to watch B2.
Instead of either looking at buying a new truck or getting his POS fixed, they have been sharing my mom's car.
My dad has been dropping my mom off at my house at 615 when she watches B2. Then when he gets off work, he comes and picks her up. Some days he has to wait for B to get home before they can leave. My mom coming over early doesnt bother me as much as it does B. He acts like he hates to be around my mom and we got into a stupid argument about it yesterday.
Yesterday was my mom's first actual day of work, so my dad was stuck home with no vehicle. When I talked to him on the phone he said he was going to call a mechanic today! I was like WTF! It's been broke down for 2 weeks and your just now getting it looked at?
I asked what they were gong to do this week b/c my mom has to work every day. He said she was taking him to work at 615, then going back home. Then going to work. But she works till 4, and he gets off work at 3/330. So he is just going to hang around the jobsite until she gets there.
IMO, that is just stupid. My dad is so bad when it comes to money. I told him to go out and buy a $5K truck. He said he doesnt have the money. I said whatever. I don't know your financial situation, but it is stupid to keep buying thiese under $1K POS and then dump a bunch of money into them. You would be better off from the get go buying something newer and more reliable.
Stupid, I know...but I had to get that off my chest.
