Need suggestions.

Hey everyone! I a regularly on the Cincinnati, OH board but i came for your help. I need help/suggestions for me and hubby. My husband will be UCF for graduate school starting in the fall and i will be working for Walt Disney World. I was hoping you can suggest places for us to rent an apartment/house that is close to both places. It will be just the 2 of us and maybe a pet dog.

I appreciate the help and suggestions ahead of time.

Re: Need suggestions.

  • From one end of the city to the other...

If you don't mind tolls (about 3 dollars round trip for both places) you can try Lake Nona, Moss Park.

If you don't want tolls downtown orlando will be your best bet.

  • Hi there! Lake Nona is a nice area to rent in, but it is still far from Disney. You would definitely have a lot of tolls and you would be on 528, or I-4 for quite a while. Your best bet is to find an apartment in the Kissimmee area(where Disney is actually located.) Here's a link:)

  • thanks for the suggestions! I would appreciate more. Right now we are looking at Coconut Palms. Anyone have things good or bad about them? We are still trying to find something in the middle of UCF and Disney. We will be traveling down in march to look at places, so keep the suggestions coming.

    Thanks

Kissimmee is VERY far from UCF.  Lake Nona is in the middle of both.  The toll road that you would use is the 417 and no need for 528 or I-4.

You could also try the Ocoee area.

I would stay away from Coconut Palms.  That area is very touristy and has MAJOR traffic.

The link above is to an apartment complex that is about halfway between the two.  Again it is toll roads but to get between Disney and UCF it is going to be hard to find a place without them.

  • Hi, to find someting between disney and UCF is a little hard, but I live in "Park Central" Your able to choose between Condos,Apartments or townhomes to rent in one location. There is a Resturant 4 pools and an awesome gym.... I havent had any problems.... its between the I-4 about 6min from the 408 and 10min to 528 in the Mall of Millinia area... I currently work on this side of town, but went to school at UCF. So you would need to get on 1-4 west to go to work in about 30min(depending on traffic) and he would take I-4 east to the 408East to Colonial to get to UCF wich could take about 30-45min(depending on traffice and the time of day)
