Backstory:A few months ago we noticed Sully had what looked like a tiny thorn in his paw, when we tried to remove it we discovered it was attached to his paw. We called the vet, and the vet said it sounded like it could be some road tar and if he's not limping or anything that it should be fine.
Fast forward to a few days ago, we were playing with him and DH noticed blood on his fur, we were looking to see where he was hurt,we check and it looks like he has an extra nail coming out of the middle of his paw, we're like OK our dog is a mutant.
Turns out that little piece of tar was a tumor, that is complied of nail tissue. They said it's benign, but because of the size of the paw pad in the area and the size of the tissue, removing it may be a bit difficult. He goes into surgery on Wednesday morning.
