I have been feeling a major lack of bongos in my life lately - any good shows coming up?

Okay, but to answer your question...
although these two bands do not have bongos in them...
This Friday and Saturday Donna the Buffalo is playing at Skipper's. I've seen them a few times in my college days. They are a folk-bluegrass band. The last time I saw them I remember not being totally impressed, but they previous times they were good. Maybe an off night; I'm not sure. I have a lot of friends are a big into them, so I'd give them another chance.
Drive By Trucker at the Ritz on Jan. 21. I've never seen them, but I've heard good things about them.
I'm not sure if you've ever checked out jambase.com, but it is what I use for concerts since it showcases bands that fit my style.

Donna the Buffalo used to play at the bar in my hometown, Saranac Lake NY. I saw them back in 1993-99 quite a few times. Haven't seen them in 10 years, I bet they are different now, but I'd be into checking them out again. I have plans for a few hours Friday but I could meet up and go afterwards later if anyone is interested.
