Rec books or sites for web design
Anyone know of any good books or sites for learning web design? I have a website where I'm using a pretty nice template, but I'd like to be able to do more myself rather than using a cookie-cutter design.

Re: Rec books or sites for web design
I wasn't going to answer since I haven't used a web design book in years, but no one else has responded so I'll throw in my 10 cents.
I've been really happy with the Missing Manual (by O'Reilly) guides on other topics, so I would give that a look at a library or bookstore. The books are very readable (as opposed to so many dry, boring computer books), and tend to be full of useful tips and tricks.
