LG Optimus S ?

I'm tired of my BlackBerry Curve 8530 rebooting everytime I bump it.  It takes f.o.r.e.v.e.r.

I'm thinking of upgrading to the LG Optimus S.  (currently free through Sprint) but I'm wondering if it's worth it.  I've looked a bit online but all it shows are the specs comparisons.  I'd like to hear the pros/cons of those that have an LG Optimus S.

Re: LG Optimus S ?

  • I've had mine for about a month and I really like it!  I can't really think of anything that I don't like about it.

  • I got one a few weeks ago.  I admit it was quite hard adjusting to not having a keyboard.  You cannot type with your thumbs like you probably do on your current phone.  The buttons are quite small and I was making a lot of mistakes.  However, once I figured out they have a 'swipe' key feature where you just run your finger across the letters in the word you're typing, it made my life much easier.  They also have a voice recognition feature which is about 60% accurate.

My husband has a blackberry and I personally think my phone is much more intuitive to use and his is easier to type on.

Thanks for the info!  I had never heard of the Swype feature before.  I just watched a couple "how to" videos of it online & although it will definitely take some getting used to I think it's a great idea.
