Re: Thankful Tuesday!

  • I am thankful for DH's work schedule going back to normal!

The team that plays at his stadium did not make the playoffs, so that means his 25 plus weeks of 80 hours each, increased stress, and frustration is over.

After this week he will be going to 9-5 M-F (and maybe even an extra day off during the week to make up for the crap they have been put through since the summer). This will be the first time in the 5 years we have been together that we will be on similar schedules.

    I cannot wait!

  • I'm thankful that my washer/dryer and fridge have been ordered and are on their way to my house within the next two weeks....FINALLY!
  • Playoffs!

Thankful that we don't have to play Lex Luther---I mean, Peyton Manning and the Colts in the playoffs this weekend! For whatever reason, that dude is our kryptonite! Although, on the other hand, I do hope our guys don't take the Chiefs too lightly...

  • I'm thankful that we had a safe and fun NYE. We had a great time with our friends.

I'm also thankful that we had a break from the kids for almost a week, so my patience level can rebuild  for the kids :-)

I was pretty sure you only liked my status the other day because it was the Cowboys LAST game of the season. So sad...time for me to jump on the Pats bandwagon with DH!

  • I am thankful for the friendly competition at my gym.  I have had the highest deadlift of any of the girls at my gym for quite a long time.  Well I got in yesterday to hear that one girl deadlifted over my record (we were doing 3 lifts for personal records last night, including deadlift).  So it totally pushed me to go higher than her, and I was able to up my PR by 15 lbs, 5 lbs over what she lifted.  I would not have pushed myself to do that had it not been for her.  Plus I got PR's on the other 2 lifts as well!  I am a happy girl  :)
    • I am thankful that I have a loving husband. He took good care of me when I was sick in bed during the New Year's Holiday.
    • To have employment (last year I was out of work for about 7 months).
    • For the opportunity to move to Albany, NY coming up this Spring.
    • The well to get in shape this year a make my body health for our 1st child. (planning for a 2012 baby).

  • I am thankful for a very understanding husband. He has been taking these mood swings of mine very well. Plus, he is stepping it up at home to help out with more of the heavy cleaning.

  • I'm thankful for my 3 kitties. My sister had to put her golden retriever down a few days ago and it was horrifically sad.  Last night I freaked out because I realized that one of my cats (the one I'm closest to) had been sleeping way more than usual for the last few days, when he is usually very active and playful. This morning he was more playful and seemed more "normal". I'm sure I'm just paranoid because of what happened with my sister's dog but it really worried me.

  • I am thankful that this cold I inherited hasn't knocked me off my feet.  Keeping my fingers crossed that this is the worst it gets.

I am thankful that I've been able to get some sewing done.  Makes me feel productive when things are being produced!

  • I'm thankful for Dr. Agoston and his South Beach Diet for giving me an easy/healthy/tasty way to get rid of all these holiday LBS. !!!
  • I am thankful for our friends. Saturday all I wanted to do was curl up next to H in my pjs all day, but our friends invited us over.  Now I'm glad we went, we had a good time.

I am also thankful for after Christmas sales.  I went shopping today and found a few good deals and the stores were not crowded.
