I demand
some sort of review about this:

or this:
I'm sad I couldn't vote for the creme brulee so my fingers are crossed that you made it. Creme brulee is one of the few desserts I am great at making and I LOVE Nutella (and just so happened to buy 2 containers at Costco)

Re: sm23
Oh absolutely!
So, per DH's request, I made the Nutella creme brulee. It was just ok, in my opinion. It didn't have as smooth a texture as the regular creme brulee I make (Alton Brown recipe). I think I may have slightly overcooked this batch though - it was very very jiggly and I was worried. Flavor-wise it was decent but I think it could use more Nutella flavor - it was very very subtle.
I might make it again with more Nutella, bake it for a few less minutes, and maybe incorporate the Nutella in the step when you cook the cream and vanilla bean. It felt like the Nutella crystalized a bit when it was added later in the process, warm into cooled liquid.
So overall, just ok. Room for improvement. I may or may not take the time to tinker with it in the future.
I always used a recipe I got in the cookbook: http://www.amazon.com/New-Best-Recipe-All-New/dp/0936184744
I started making it before I got into cooking and back then I used cookbooks and didn't rely on the power of the internet. I love Alton Brown and don't doubt his recipe is awesome. It's been forever since I made creme brulee though. It is a total obsession of mine and is not at all conducive to watching my weight, so I only have it when I eat out.
Maybe one day I'll give the recipe a shot
