Wedding Planning

How much would someone have to pay you to go through the wedding planning process again?  The same wedding you had (so no magically increased budget or family members that mysteriously disappeared this time around).  And don't consider the day itself....I think for most of us the day was wonderful and went by superfast, so we would LOVE to relive it![Poll]

I'd say I'd do it all again for a solid $20,000.  Reasoning: My MIL drove me nuts.  She wasn't paying for any of it, but had all sorts of negative opinions (color of bridesmaid dresses, size of wedding party, color of flowers, not a church wedding, not her pastor officiating <note DH and I are not at all religious>, not inviting enough people, inviting too many people, too short a ceremony, not enough flowers for attendees, etc.) that made me very upset several times during the planning process.  I'd need the $20,000 (figuring after taxes it'll be closer to $10,000 ) to go on a nice long vacation where cell phones don't work and e-mail doesn't exist so MIL can't communicate with us

Aside from that I really did enjoy planning - I found great vendors, and I think it'd be easier the second time around.  I've learned one major thing about myself along the way: listen to my gut - I researched cake toppers for easily over 12 hours.  All different places to buy them.  All different options to make them.  All the ones buy them again.  Finally ended up buying - could have saved oodles and oodles of time by just going with my gut - that I wasn't going to make a cake topper.  hahaha.... silly Kenna.

I'm a planner at heart, so I enjoyed it all.  I was even a little envious of my event planner (came with the venue) becuase deep down I'd love to do what he does, wthout the crazy night and weekend hours.  I do wish I could have the day again, so I can enjoy it all over again.

I would need some cash to do it again. Don't get me wrong I LOVED all the planning and have contemplated actually doing it as a career but it took so much time away from Logan and if I had known there would be some money coming in at the end I would have splurged a little more. :-) So ya I am going to say I would need at least $10,000.

I loved the planning, just hated spending the money.  So I'd have to say that they'd have to pay for the wedding, plus $10-15K for my time.  Then I'd gladly do it.

$25,000... I'd gladly do it again, but I'd need the money to do so! (Plus a little extra for me cuz we're poor lol)

I am in the you would have to pay me group. I enjoyed wedding planning, especially the DIY parts of it that I found were a good creative outlet, but it would take a good $25,000 (enough to buy a nice new car and have a bit left over) for me to do it again. I enjoyed it but am now ready to move on to the next phase in my life. I have 4 friends getting married in the first 5 months of this year and I am in 2 of them as the matron of honor and the sister of the bride. I have found in trying to help them with their planning that I am kind of over it, if you know what I mean. I think I would have gone crazy if I had had a longer engagement and time to over think my choices.

I think I would have to be paid but I can't set a price on it...my reason-I'm pretty sure if I had to deal with my grandmother's crap again I would need therapy...There would be some definite guest list changes and possibly some bridal party changes as well if we were to have a do over!
