Why am I asking, here right? LOL. I know, I know, but I figure some of you might have been there or lived there, too!!!
I might get to visit a friend in Chicago in the near future *crossing fingers*. He's going to use some miles to fly me free up there, but I want to thank him for doing so.
So what are some OK restaurants I can take him to lunch or dinner that are not going to break a girl on a budget?
Also, what are some must-sees that this same girl who has NEVER been to Chicago nor really knows anything about Chicago must do?
Thanks so much!!!

Giordano's is a GREAT place for real pizza. Well worth visiting at least once while you're there! Good prices, and amazing pizza. Quite a few locations around the city.
? giordanos.comShedd Aquarium is a huge thing to see, and well worth it. Honestly, there's a ton to do and see in Chicago... I've been there about 6 times now and not done half what I want to.
Navy Pier, Union Station, Buckingham fountain, museum campus, and the Willis Tower Skydeck are really cool to see. It also depends on when you go... taste of Chicago is really awesome to go to, and there's a few other festival type things that happen there.
am slowly going through your list, but wanted to write before i had to scat off to work..
giordanos? now THAT is what i call pizza!!!!! that looks like what i remember at zack's from the tucson post. i loved that stuff!
what is union station? the only website i perused just now makes it look like a convention center?
buckingham fountain? it has a name?! i only knew it from married... with children! good to know where it's at!
gonna check out more of the list later, just (blech) work calls. =(
