Didn't know getting married meant staying sick!

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! My husband and I have been married for 3 months now. In those 3 months, we have passed a bug to each other SEVEN times! SEVEN TIMES! How do we keep from getting each other sick???

  • Many, many variables here.

What kind of bug is it, first and foremost?  Do either of you have a compromised immune system?

Secondly, wash your hands before you prepare food and after sneezing, using the bathroom, etc.  Disinfect shared surfaces (sink handles, toilet flush, doorknobs, etc) regularly.  Eat right.  Exercise regularly.  Get plenty of sleep.

Honestly, that sounds excessive.  DH and I have been together for almost 5 years and the only time that he made me sick was when he didn't clean oysters properly and we both got food poisioning.

  • Have you been to a doctor? If it is some sort of virus I would think after you have both had it once you would each have antibodies and wouldn't get it again.  Is it possible that you are catching something different every time? We've never had this problem.
